Jubilee Gardens
The Parish Council have developed a piece of land in the centre of the village which has been called Jubilee Gardens. This has transformed this area into a focal point of the village with shrubs and flowers together with benches where people can sit.
This area also recognises the mining heritage of the village and an information board has been installed giving a small resume of the history of the mining which took place in the village.
A mining truck, courtesy of Heath Hayes Primary School who have kindly donated this to the Parish Council, sits in the centre of the development. We have received positive feedback from residents who value the development and feel that this enhances the presentation of the village.
